Moving out of a property

Residents who would like to bring their tenancy agreement to an end must give us one month’s notice in writing. Tenancy agreements with Two Castles Housing Association always end on a Sunday.

Contact customer services team to arrange end of tenancy and when and where to hand in your keys. Residents are liable for the rent on the property until the notice expires and also for rent until the keys are safely returned.

You should provide the Association with a forwarding address for yourself and the names of your utility suppliers. It’s also a good idea to make a note of meter readings on the day your tenancy agreement ends.

Residents should always leave their home in a clean and tidy state, removing all furniture and property as there will be a charge for any items which need to be taken away once you have moved out.

Residents would also be charged for any damage in the property that needed repairing due to neglect or misuse.
